About Zucchetti:

A long story

In the company’s 85-year history three generations have been at its helm: Alfredo, who founded the firm in the now distant 1929, his sons Luciano and Mario, the forward-thinking architects of the large-scale development that began in the post-war years, and his grandchildren Elena, Carlo, Marco and Paolo, who run the business today. Since its earliest years the company has rigorously followed a set of guidelines: always make the most of your human resources, be innovative, and constantly update your technology to guarantee the quality of the products, services and consulting you provide. Today Zucchetti is synonymous with innovative, 100% Italian-made bathroom and wellness products. It is a company with a unique history, skills and expertise, which together form a solid base to tackle the challenges of the various international markets, incorporating different interests and cultures, with the same attitude and pioneering enthusiasm that set the business apart when it was in its infancy. The company's international vocation has seen it spread to over 80 countries worldwide, and led to the creation of two foreign branches, in Poland and the United States, as well as a sales office in China. For Zucchetti, design is a universal language with which to express itself: since the 1970s it has worked closely with internationally-renowned designers to develop cutting-edge ideas and products. Zucchetti believes in the power of communication to support its products and brand, as proved by its historic TV advertising campaigns, its constant presence in the best-known international architecture and design publications and on various web channels, and its participation in trade fairs, exhibitions and cultural events across the world. With the acquisition in 2007 of Kos, a company renowned for beautiful, high quality, multi-purpose baths and showers and designer bathroom accessories, Zucchetti created one of the most interesting and eclectic design partnerships in the world of bathroom furnishings. Together they offer a complete bathroom to suit all tastes and all locations, where wellbeing and emotions are combined, a place where each of us can rediscover our aspirations and our true self.

Elena Zucchetti, who runs the historic Italian company founded by her grandfather with her brother Carlo and cousins Marco and Paolo, tells us about her world: “Thanks to the passion and experience that stem from Zucchetti's long history, over the years the company has made a significant contribution to the major changes that have occurred in the home bathroom. In addition to changes in form and space, the way each of us lives our lives has also changed. We work hard every day to imagine new scenarios, anticipate trends and develop innovative designs and products. We are a design-oriented company that believes in original ideas and experimentation, and we rely on the talent of our staff and vast technological expertise to produce cutting-edge designs that express the full range of our thoughts and dreams. Our collaboration through the years with numerous world-renowned designers has been a great asset to the company. Since the 1970s we have always chosen to work with the people who could best interpret our vision: from Mario Oliveri at Studio Nizzoli, who in the early 1970s focused on giving industrial products a visual identity, to Giorgio Marianelli and Raul Barbieri, who, first together and then individually, took us into the 1990s, and onto Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, Barbara Sordina, William Sawaya, Nespoli & Novara and Diego Grandi, who design the collections in our current catalogue. These are people with open minds, who, drawing inspiration from water itself, our primary element, and from the world around us, worked together with us to design products that were innovative both in form and function and which have become truly iconic: beautiful to look at, simple and effective to operate, and capable of stirring emotions day after day in those who use them. This is a challenge we face every day, but that we think we have overcome many times, thanks to the success we have achieved and the recognition gained through the countless international awards we have received: the Compasso d’Oro, the Good Design Award, Red Dot, Design Plus and many more. Thanks to its strong cultural identity, today Zucchetti is internationally recognised as an historic Italian design brand, and an attentive exponent of modernity. I've always liked to ponder the way children see a tap: a surprising, enchanting object, a metal sculpture that with a simple touch turns into fresh, lively, energy-filled running water, offering a sense of wellbeing. Each of our designs is created to fully involve all the senses and to offer unique and exciting sensations."

Seen through the eyes of a child, a tap is a magical object, surprising and enchanting. A metal sculpture which, with a simple touch, becomes flowing water, lively, bubbly and full of energy. Nature and design merge, following different lines of thought and inspiration. Each collection creates its own poetry to depict the Zucchetti universe. Each object is able to enhance the beauty of the place in the home dedicated to personal care, were body and mind become one. Zucchetti, its collections, the international designers which overtime has worked with, have contributed decisively to this far-reaching transformation of the home, a transformation that certainly cannot be defined only in formal or spatial terms but is closely related to the way of life of each of us. Zucchetti always creates trends, its products foster an evolution in lifestyle, a new imagery and new worlds for home living. Thanks to the eclectic nature of its collections Zucchetti interprets contemporary mood, it is able to communicate with different cultures and to understand the complexity of international society. The Zucchetti catalogue is the best example of the company will to answer to many different tastes and to guarantee total quality and design to a consumer who chooses wellness as a primary value, to experience every day. The combination with the Kos brand and products leads the Zucchetti. Kos Group to be undisputed leader in bathroom design international scene. The only company able to offer a new complete bathroom world, always innovative and constantly renewed, thanks to a strategic project guided by three key words: WATER WELLNESS WORLD. Zucchetti. Kos is a new iconography that tells seductive cultural meltings, experiences of taste and poetic suggestions.

Zucchetti today
The company is currently run by the third generation: Elena and Carlo, who are continuing the company  tradition of constant evolution and are responsible for its most recent success stories: Isy, Aguablu, Soft, Pan, Bellagio. These lines interpret the Zucchetti philosophy perfectly, where design and technological innovation blend together to produce items that represent a point of reference all over the world.

The Pan collection is our interpretation of the basic cylinder type single lever mixer which begins with classic archetypes and goes on to develop completely original aesthetics and new types of taps. We concentrated our attention on the joint between the vertical and horizontal elements: as in nature there are no cuts and weldings so that the spout and handle are derived from the body of our tap through a soft connection designed like the trunk of a tree according to exactly the same smoot logic found in the graft between the trunk and the branch of a tree." Ludovica Roberto Palomba Lightness and simplicity are the hallmark characteristics of this collection of transversal versatile tap systems featuring an extraordinarily broad range of models. The simple design of these products stands in sharp contrast to the infinite array of compositional possibilities. Creating an industrial answer to multiple functional and design requirements Pan has also been extended with the Pan  collection: a modular line that can be combined in multiple tailor made ways. Taps and fittings can be moulded to meet individual needs ensuring the kitchen is a truly personalised space. The rectangular plates are the backdrop for functional elements that are more cylindrical. Everything is combined with soft organic joints.
